WHAT SIZE JPEG SHOULD I ORDER?
Below are samples of each of the standard sizes. These are free to download for test purposes (but they're still copyright images!).
If you have any queries about sizes for any particular purpose, just ask.
The full-size watermark won't appear on JPEGs you order; just a smaller one in the corner.
ORDERING DIGITAL FILES
At the moment these are not downloadable directly from the site, because I run them through further image-manipulation software before despatch.
Images you see on the site will have been 'tweaked' before being uploaded, but it would be impossible to give each individual file the attention it deserves when uploading dozens or hundreds at a time. Many photographers make them downloadable straight away, and that saves time and effort, but I prefer to make further enhancements first to do them justice. I then send them via a file-transfer site, from where you can download them when convenient.
PLEASE NOTE: Image size (in KB or MB) for any given resolution will vary (it's determined by the colours, contrast and other factors). Full-res files will typically be 3000x2000px or larger depending on the camera and the cropping.
IMAGE QUALITY
Images on this site might show some pixelation – most likely in the sky – because they have been uploaded at reduced quality to save space. They will be manipulated in specialised software programs before being printed or sent as digital files (JPEGs). Occasionally with particular types of sky, some pixelation is visible in small-size JPEGs because of the compression.
